Fairy Wrens Kiss - original oil bird painting

Fairy Wrens Kiss - 5" x 7" oil on hardboard/masonite

Following on from the painting Fairy Wrens, I simply had to paint these two again - they are just SO sweet! I love them!

Sealed With A Kiss

Sealed With A Kiss - 6" x 6" (approx) oil on hardboard/masonite

I am particularly fond of paintings which feature a close relationship between human and dog as does this, the latest of my 'kiss' paintings. So many of the bull breeds have a poor reputation and yet these dogs can be the sweetest of companions. Cesar Milan, the 'dog whisperer' describes them as gladiators and I think this is an accurate summing up of the character of many of them and because of this they need to be trained to mix well with other dogs - ideally when they are young. Remember that like all dogs, they need to know their boundaries, a leader/s they can respect (human) and love.

Spoiling a dog isn't loving it but loving a dog isn't spoiling it.

The Kiss by Anne Zoutsos

The Kiss by Anne Zoutsos - 6" x 6" oil on hardboard/masonite

Well I suppose this isn't quite a Rodin or Klimt but for dog lovers, it will probably mean as much - or even more! For those who have been following my paintings, you will, I expect, by now realise that I believe the relationship between man and dog to be something very special. My paintings are dedicated to those dogs - and occasionally other animals - whose lives suffer because of humans and my hope that those of us who care, can bring sunshine and happiness into their lives.
