Reach Out I'll Be There

Reach Out I'll Be There - Oil on hardboard/masonite 7" x 6"

This is the last of my 'rose' paintings - well for the moment anyway!

I've been listening to quite a lot of music lately and the inspiration for this painting comes from the song by the Four Tops - Reach Out I'll Be There. Not only do I absolutely adore this song but also I hope the title not only indicates our dogs' faithfulness, but as well represents the fact that we can always be relied upon to be there for our dogs - and also for other dogs in need.

(With Love) From Me To You

The title of this painting is taken this time from the famous song by the incredible Beatles. I particularly like the version used by the well known UK department store, John Lewis, for their Christmas advertising. On a deeper level though, I feel that the sentiments voiced are those that our dogs would say if only they could speak. I hope that this painting, with the dog bringing a rose, conveys the gift of love that our dogs freely give those of us who are lucky enough to have been blessed with a dog of our very own.

Another perfect Valentine's Day gift!

Kiss From A Rose

Kiss From A Rose - oil on hardboard/masonite 6" x 7"

The title of this painting is taken from the beautiful song of the same name, written and sung by Seal and which I have listened to quite a lot while working. I hope that the painting conveys a feeling a peace and love.

I suppose it would make a perfect Valentine's Day gift although I hadn't actually considered this while painting it!

The follow up to this painting will be published on Wednesday.

Contratulations!

I thought it might be nice to occasionally include news of some of the dogs I have painted.
Today's news though isn't of a dog I have painted but he belongs to Sue Ellis for whom I painted the portrait above - her Ch Chayo Blue Thunder. Blue is the first Champion Malamute in the UK and of course I am very proud to have painted him and no doubt Sue is equally proud to have bred him and to own him.
The dog in the news today is Sue's Ch Chayo Dom Perignon ShCM who has won an unprecedented two Best In Show awards at general championship shows in the UK and is the first Alaskan Malamute to win a Best in Show at a general championship show. Sue obviously has a knack of breaking records with her dogs! Loius (Dom Perignon) is a son of Blue.
