Feeling Good

Feeling Good by Anne Zoutsos - 6" x 6" oil on hardboard/masonite

To me this painting conveys the life that I would wish for, for all unwanted dogs - looking towards the future; living in the sun, enjoying freedom and love. If at all possible, please listen to the powerful song of the same name sung by Nina Simone. Although of course not originally intended, the lyrics of 'Feeling Good' can so easily also be related to lives of happily rescued dogs and this painting.

If you are not interested in purchasing a painting at the moment but are concerned about the lives of dogs and their welfare, please take the time to look at the Willing Hearts Dalmatian Rescue website. You will see in their pages, their desperate need for funds - please help even if you can only afford a little - every bit counts.

SOLD

If there is sufficient interest I will create this painting again but in watercolour as I think it would be an interesting exercise to see the same painting portrayed in two different mediums. Let me know what you think!

Reach Out I'll Be There

Reach Out I'll Be There - Oil on hardboard/masonite 7" x 6"

This is the last of my 'rose' paintings - well for the moment anyway!

I've been listening to quite a lot of music lately and the inspiration for this painting comes from the song by the Four Tops - Reach Out I'll Be There. Not only do I absolutely adore this song but also I hope the title not only indicates our dogs' faithfulness, but as well represents the fact that we can always be relied upon to be there for our dogs - and also for other dogs in need.

(With Love) From Me To You

The title of this painting is taken this time from the famous song by the incredible Beatles. I particularly like the version used by the well known UK department store, John Lewis, for their Christmas advertising. On a deeper level though, I feel that the sentiments voiced are those that our dogs would say if only they could speak. I hope that this painting, with the dog bringing a rose, conveys the gift of love that our dogs freely give those of us who are lucky enough to have been blessed with a dog of our very own.

Another perfect Valentine's Day gift!

Kiss From A Rose

Kiss From A Rose - oil on hardboard/masonite 6" x 7"

The title of this painting is taken from the beautiful song of the same name, written and sung by Seal and which I have listened to quite a lot while working. I hope that the painting conveys a feeling a peace and love.

I suppose it would make a perfect Valentine's Day gift although I hadn't actually considered this while painting it!

The follow up to this painting will be published on Wednesday.

Dream A Little Dream Of Me

8" x 6" Oil on hardboard/masonite

A Dalmatian seeks out the warmth of the sun to dream the time away.

If you dream of owning a Dalmatian, make sure that this is really the dog for you. They have a need for large amounts of exercise and love in equal measure if they are to thrive. Given a suitable home, these dogs reward their owners with deep love and affection.
